Hariff Defense Wins '2025 Pioneer of Technology Award (RINTEK)' for Computer-Based Mortar Firing System (Sisbak Mortir) from Indonesia Ministry of Industry
Jakarta, September 17, 2025 – PT Hariff Dipa Persada (Hariff Defense) successfully won the second Industrial Technology Pioneer Award (RINTEK)
with its Sisbak Mortir (Computer-Based Firing System) product, following its previous Rintek award in 2018 for its Battlefield Management System CY-16H in 2018. This award demonstrates Hariff Defense's success in delivering innovative flagship products at the national level through the “Indonesia 4.0 Conference & Expo 2025” event organized by the Ministry of Industry at the Jakarta International
Convention Center on September 17–18, 2025.
This achievement has received Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certification in 2021, with a score of 51.98% from the Ministry of Industry
(Kemenperin), exceeding the minimum requirement. Additionally, this achievement has received trademark recognition from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) in 2022. The 2025 Rintek (Technology Initiative) Award was presented directly by the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, to the Business Director of Hariff Defense, Uco Isnaini. The award ceremony, attended by high-ranking government officials and national industry players, was an important moment, not only for Hariff Defense, but also for the development of the domestic defense industry.
The Sisbak Mortar innovation is the result of a long journey of research and development conducted by Hariff Defense together with the Infantry Weapons Center (Pussenif) since 2015. Through various stages of testing and certification, this product is now mass-produced and widely used in
of the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) and the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL).
The advantage of the Mortar Targeting System lies in its ability to accelerate and improve the accuracy of mortar fire calculations. The system consists of three main units: (1) Jaupan or Forward Observer, (2) Pusturbak or Fire Control Center,
and (3) Pucuk as the control/firing center. Supported by the Infantry Targeting Device (ITD) developed by Hariff Defense, which is equipped
with a Laser Range Finder (LRF) with a range of up to 3 km, this system enables highly precise target locking. The data obtained is then
processed quickly, resulting in significantly more efficient fire calculations compared to conventional methods based on plotting boards and Morcos.
The Minister of Industry emphasized that this award is a form of appreciation for the technological innovations and inventions produced by national companies. The hope is that this achievement will strengthen the competitiveness of the local defense industry while supporting the Making Indonesia 4.0 vision and driving digital transformation in the industrial sector.
In response to this, Hariff Defense CEO said, "Sisbak Mortar is proof of our commitment to providing defense solutions that are not only technically superior, but also fully developed by national human resources and industry. This award motivates us to continue conducting research, development,
and collaboration in providing the best technology for the nation."
He added that the success in winning RINTEK 2025 is expected to inspire other national defense industries to continuously innovate and make tangible contributions to the nation's progress.
